Mo Thomas is a clinical faculty member at Urban Teachers in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. She teaches courses in secondary literacy and special education as part of the Urban Teachers program. She also coaches and evaluates teachers in the program as they teach in the DC Public and Charter schools. She holds a masters degree as a reading specialist and has 15 years of classroom teaching experience as a special educator, English teacher, and reading specialist. Her passion has been creating and supporting equitable, engaging, and rigorous educational opportunities where students have ownership of their learning.
