Lauren Crichton teaches courses in secondary literacy for Urban Teachers in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. She also coaches novice teachers in the Urban Teachers program. She began her career in education as a high school history and AP US History teacher and has also served as a department chair and instructional coach. As a coach, Lauren has worked extensively with AP teachers across the humanities to develop their curricula and improve their practice. Lauren is passionate about helping teachers to craft rigorous, inquiry-driven lessons and to maintain high expectations for their students.
