Baltimore Executive Director Charelle James sat down with the Maryland Comptroller’s team in August 2020 to discuss Urban Teachers’ efforts to prepare aspiring Baltimore educators during the coronavirus pandemic:
“We’re making certain we’re showing [our teachers] how they can continue to have impact … virtually, but also they need to be able to differentiate for our students given where they are right now …
We’re trying to show our teachers how to be responsive to our students and our families. Where they are. What they need. How they have to be attentive to the various modalities of learning.”
